Kim Smith, MD


Dr. Kim Smith grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated magna cum laude from nearby Rice University. She earned her doctorate at Baylor College of Medicine, then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology where she received the Best Second Year Resident award.

Before joining Central Arkansas Women’s Group, Dr. Smith served as chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Kijabe Hospital in Kenya, East Africa. While there, she also served as fistula project director and project co-director of Kijabe HIV MTCT Prevention Project, funded by the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Dr. Smith has been a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1997, and is a lecturer in tropical medicine courses for the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
